This totally unique statement necklace is from one of my favorite artists in Santa Fe.
She happened to be wearing this piece when I saw her at an art show. I knew I had to have it!
It is made from hefty sterling silver and Prehnite stone.
An outrageous crazy “cage” of sterling silver is the focal point of this necklace.
It is a full 3.50″ tall (!) and the base is 1.50″ square.
Sitting inside the cage is a simple grey river rock. BUT, the treasure is underneath!
A 3.4″ square of the Prehnite stone sits in a bezel with the bars of the cage sticking out.
What an imagination, eh?
Topping off this pendant is a faceted strand of natural Prehnite that can be worn 14″-16″ long.
This one of a kind statement necklace is truly the only one around!
After years of losing track of this artist, I found her again at an art showing in Santa Fe.
All of her work is an original one of a kind, using sterling silver and natural stones.
