Finally I’m loading the jewelry purchases from our fall trip to Puglia, Italy.
My mission is always to find local artisans on my travels and this did not disappoint.
In the mountain town of Matera, the ancient folks carved their cave homes out of the soft limestone rock. Because the rock is soft it’s easy to carve and voila!
This beautiful necklace adjusts with a slight pull at the neck from a choker length to 29″.
Pretty blue (ceramic?) beads thread along the dark brown cording with a drop focal point of the Matera rock stone.
Crafted in Matera, Italy.
