Lilly always starts out with a very heavy/hefty sterling silver gauge metal to construct the shank. Even though it is hard and stiff there is a slit open shank under the stones for slight size adjustment. (Size 7.5)
The shank (band) is a tapered unique shape with it being 1.25″ wide on the one side and 3/4″ at the other. Underneath the finger it is 1/4″.
A huge 1″ chunk of black faceted Onyx sits in it’s bezel along side a 1″ long Black Tourmaline.
This ring looks stunning on long fingers but also killer on a pointer finger.

I have been to Lily Barrack’s studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico twice now to watch the amazing production of this beautiful jewelry.
She is my absolute favorite artist for doing contemporary jewelry artwork with stones in the rough.
All the stones are hand selected by Lily herself and each mounted in a handcrafted form to fit around the stone in bezel style.
Native Americans are employed to do all the phenomenal hand work.
