Just when I think I’ve seen it all, I come across this “over the top outrageously cool” necklace.
This totally unique statement necklace is from one of my favorite artists in Santa Fe.
Just like her other cage necklaces, only this time the artist adds fives strands of flattened Labradorite discs attached with a sterling silver bar to the cage. (14-16″ long)
Two lovely sterling silver cones finish off the attachment at the neck.
An outrageous crazy “cage” of sterling silver is the focal point of this necklace.
The pendant is a full 4″ tall (!) and the base is 1.50″ square.
Sitting inside the cage is a simple grey river rock. BUT, the treasure is underneath!
A 3/4″ X 1/2″ piece of the Labradorite stone sits in a bezel with the bars of the cage sticking out.
What an imagination, eh?
This one of a kind statement necklace is truly the only one around!
After years of losing track of this artist, I found her again at an art showing in Santa Fe.
All of her work is an original one of a kind, using sterling silver and natural stones.
Every piece is signed.
