This incredible stone is mined ONLY in the Dominican Republic.
It was just recently discovered in 1974 by a Peace Corp worker.
He named it after his daughter Larissa and the Spanish word for ocean, mar.
It is the result of an ancient volcanic activity and has a color like no other stone.
